Position: Lab Chemist
Burnaby, BC
The Opportunity:
Join our team at ISURA as a Lab Chemist and play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products. We are seeking a skilled professional with at least 4 years of experience in laboratory chemistry. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting various tests, utilizing testing machines, and reporting findings using office software. With a structured training program spanning 6 months to 1 year, you will have the opportunity to specialize in 1-2 areas of expertise, laying the foundation for a rewarding career in the nutraceutical industry.

Work Monday to Friday (8:00 am – 4:30 pm); Onsite

Experience and Responsibilities:
• Perform a range of chemical tests and analyses to assess the quality and composition of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Operate testing machines and equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
• Utilize office software for accurate and timely reporting of test results, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in the development and implementation of laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to ensure product quality.
• Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, including test results, equipment maintenance, and inventory management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a lab chemist, preferably in the nutraceutical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), MS Office, and other relevant software.
• Experience with chromatography software such as Chromeleon or Xcalibur is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay Type: Hourly
Hiring Rate: $31.50 – $38.50
